SEMINAR OFFERINGS: ONE DAY
The following are one-day seminars available through the DAGSD. Most one-day seminars are generic as to type, because the techniques learned may apply to both Classic and Modern dolls.
Wig Making
Using Seeley's Mohair Locks, learn how to make and style one large wig or two small wigs for your dolls.
Shoemaking
Make two pairs of leather and/or fabric shoes or boots for your dolls. Learn how to become a dolly cobbler!
Hat Making
You will make one or two doll hats and learn various techniques for making doll millinery.
Fine Hand Sewing
You will learn the basic techniques of heirloom sewing by hand and will make one simple doll garment using the
techniques learned in class.
Eye Cutting
Spend a whole day learning how to cut and bevel eyes for various types of dolls, including those difficult French ones.
Doll Accessories
Your instructor will custom design a seminar to teach you how to make those wonderful doll accouterments such as purses, luggage, portmanteaux, trunks, parasols and jewelry
