Seminars are your chance to complete one, two or three porcelain dolls in a just few days! Get to know people with the same interests as yours.
The Doll Artisan Guild (D.A.G.) seminar program provides continuing and higher education for porcelain dollmakers through the Doll Artisan Guild School of Dollmaking (DAGSD), the oldest and largest dollmaking school in the world. It is the foremost school of its kind, dedicated exclusively to the advancement, enjoyment, and education of porcelain dollmakers.
We offer you an exciting program of instruction in making both modern dolls and reproductions of antique dolls. Beautiful Doll and Apprentice seminars (Level I) are designed to teach you basic skills and techniques. When you have completed your Level I seminars you will have the skills necessary to advance to specialty seminars (Level II and Level III).
As you progress through the DAGSD you will earn proofs of your accomplishments: certificates for each course and certificates, medallions or diplomas for each title earned. Higher titles such as Master of Dollmaking, Grand Master of Dollmaking and Doctor of Dollmaking are awarded at commencement ceremonies during D.A.G. events. (Events are listed separately on this site.) You may also earn college credits through the Credit Recommendation Program (CRP), which is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents. Request the brochures and enrollment forms for each title and the CRP Program. Request information at: or call 1-607-433-1240, ext. 214 for the seminar office.
